The temperature gage was omitted on gasoline only engines. There should be a blank in your hood where you'd normally see a temperature gage. It is the opening to the right of the steering shaft viewed from the seat. IHC didn't think it was necessary to monitor engine temperature on tractors not equipped with a shutter for kerosene or distillate engines. My '47 H came this way from the dealer but I have added the temp. gage to it for peace of mind.
