I recently rebuilt my super c engine and also the distributer. I probably should have got a new dist. but I work at a case dealer and it actualy worked out cheaper rebuilding it. anyway I have heard that engines with firecraters use different advance springs than standard engines. is this true? if so does anyone have a part number. my parts guy says there isnt a difference but he cant even get me the right oil filter half the time. also I am looking for a new distributer cam, the top most part of the distributer shaft that the points ride on. its a little loose on the new shaft and I would feel better with a new one. the computer at work says no longer available but I know someone out there has a new one. If anyone has any info on any other specs or parts that are different than a standard super c please let me know. all I have to work with is the owners manual and an IT manual. neither mention firecrater pistons.
