I have a 1946 Farmall M and it has a ticking noise that seems to be comming from the back side of the engine. It sounds to me like a loose valve adjustment. I have went through and adjusted all the valves and the tick is still there. It seems to become louder when you put the engine under a load. Any ideas on what the tick is comming from? and how to fix it. Could it be worn lifters or a cam shaft?? "At first I thought there was a little man in there with a hammer trying to get out, when I took the valve cover off there was nobody there"
