TA question

my ta on my 400 will not engage sometimes on the low side starting out. But when it does it will hold. my guestion is it is on my pullin tractor i normally pull it on the high side. I can put it in 5th gear on the low side and choke it down and it will not slip. will i have a problem with it slipping in 1st gear on the low side. any advice would be appriciated.
