Don't spend a lot of $$ unless you are a pro who wants to use it for work. A inexpensive ($150.00 - $200.0) one megapixle camera will probaly do everything you ever want to do with it. Lot's of folks by all the bells and whistles but never use them (Don't know F-Stop from F-Troop). Get a USB connection camera if you have USB (Universal Serial Bus) on your computer. (I use a 3 year old, one megapixle Kodak. I still don't use all the functions available and it works great). Good luck.
