these are easy to clean. you may have a fuel line or gas tank problem. when was the last time your fuel line was blown out? or your tank drained and cleaned? did you check your valve and bowl> clean those if they are dirty or have screens in them. soak the carb in lacquer thinner for a day or so. .just soak it in a glass or metal can and let it sit completely submerged then use a gum remover chemical. take it all apart and let the parts soak. get a small calibrated wire set and use it to clean the jets. replace the jets inside if the zenith has them I am more familiar with the Marvel Schebler type. wire sets for cleaning air guns work for a calibrated set. i dound a cheapy set in an auto refinishing catalog.
