I have a 574 we purchased new in 1973. It had its first and only overhaul in 1991 at 5400 hours. The sweptback front axle on the 574 is a plus when working in tight places. We replaced the seals in the master cylinders around 1988 other than that the brakes have never been touched and are still in excellant condition. Other than the clutch the only repairs have been waterpumps and alternators. I do need to replace some of the wiring, it was shortsided of IH to use wire insulation that would breakdown in 29 years on a tractor that would last 50 (ha ha). I have 4 tractors, but the 574 is my all around favorite.
