The remote control for the Lift-All was optional equipment & lots of old tractors simply didn't have it-too many $. Lift-All's lift out of the sides of the pump housing, most had 3 (total) 1/2" pipe nipples through the housing, then 90 degree elbows & plugs showing - 2 on one side, one on the other. They will lift a lot out of any one of these outlets, but only one way without the remote, just pull back on the rod on the right side of the pump. It'll snap back by itself to the notch on the rod when its reached its maximum pressure. I've used mine on modern 2-way cylinders (high pressure?) with good success, but you have to have a vent on the second outlet of the cylinder. Gravity brings the implement back down, just like in the "good old days", but no draft control. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
