Casey, I have both types of seat , a pipe seat on an H and an M and a spring/shock seat on an H and I prefer the pipe seat...easily adjusted by tightening the spring to suit you...am looking for a pipe seat for my H ...not saying you are wrong and I'm right I just prefer the more adjustable seat , as far as I can tell the seat clamp to deck is identical in H and M and all the holes should line up ok..good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario
