I've never seen a generator with a hyd pump piggybacked installed on a tractor. However I recall seeing them a few of them many years ago on foreign cars. The pump was for the power steering - ie. was very low capacity. Troubleshooting charging problems with one of these setups should be the same as with a standard generator.
