You don't need to remove the shifter from the platform in order to remove the platform. I was lucky enough to have an engine hoist to remove the platform from my H but I have done it with just some help and pry bars. You could have a couple of botls broken off but enough left of them to bind things up as you are attempting to raise the platform. Good luck and be careful. Bob
