You don't have to remove the mag to reset the time 180 degrees. The mag only has a two lobe cam for the points, so there is a 2:1 gear in the cover which is over the point chamber. This is the one that has the shaft that drives the rotor button. All you have to do to change the timing 180 degrees is to remove that cover, turn the shaft coupling one rotation on the back side and put it back on. One rotation on the back side will turn the rotor button 180 degrees. Don't ask how I know this. Been there done that!
