a friend has a super mtad and once it is warmed up it will start right up on the diesel system. the reason you need to start on gas when cold is that the diesel system uses a precombustion cup instead of a direct injection system. precombustion cup systems require glow plugs to heat them up. if you weren't supposed to start them on the diesel system after they were warmed up they would have just used a regular m starter instead of the big one that they have.
