Since the rims were originally galvanized, I'm not sure a bright and shiny silver is a correct match if you're looking to do a correct restoration. I'm going to try a simi gloss gray that closely matches a galvanized color and sheen. I'm not sure of the name, but it is available in spray cans from Home Depot, and labeled as a galvanized color match. The label description indicates that priming is not recommended. A post on this board once covered this, and I think Eastwood has a similar product to Home Depot.
