I need to replace the shaft and springs again in my distributer with the correct ones. When I braught the tractor home a couple years ago the first thing I did was rebuild the distributer because it was rusted tight and the gears were gone. well I baught all new parts and fixed it, even made a bushing for the body for the shaft to ride in. why I did'nt make a bushing for the cam is beyond my because I worked at a machine sshop back them. recently I rebuilt the engine and discovered it had firecraters in it. In researching to find some new oned I found out that the dist. shaft and advance springs are different than the ones I put in it so now I need to do it again. problem is I work at a case dealer now as a mechanic and dont have access to a lathe anymore to make that bushing for the cam and the part is unavailable now. I'm the kind of person that would die before paying someone else to fix something for me so I thaught I'd ask here if anyone had a parts distributer that would be willing to sell the cam. mine runs ok but the timing is erratic with the thing loose like it is. I already have all the other parts but I dont want to take it apart untill I can fix it right.
