If the carb is full and the line is still hooked up you wont get any flow because it has nowhere to go. It has no air vent. When checking flow from the sediment bowl, either unhook the line, or open or remove the drain plug on the carb. This will give the gas someplace to go. If you start the engine with the bowl empty, it will eventually fill up as the engine uses whatr is in the carb. You can get a new gasket at NAPA made
of rubber. These seem to hold up better than th cork gaskets.
