Any 06 series can be made to shift nicely if you take a little bit of time to closely check over the linkages. See if the clevis pins in the H-L-R turnbuckles are still round & true. Are the clevis worn themselves?? How about the range shift cover. Is the main shift cam hole egg shaped?? If so a bushing can be made to fit here. Are the shift lever bushings and pivot shaft worn?? There are many things to look over in any shifting linkage system. I would suggest that you start with levers, and work your way down to the transmission covers, ending finally with the shifting forks. These are NOT complex mechanisms, some people just want you to think that. Buying a $400 shifting changeover kit is not the answer either. I guess some people are intimidated by shifters that are not attached directly to the shifting forks like an H or M.........
