We have a 544 with a shuttle transmission - forward and reverse in any gear. No TA. I think they have around 50 horsepower or so. Ours pulls a 6 row corn planter really well. We also have a quick tach loader on it and it makes for a handy loader tractor.

Only thing I don't like is the sleeveless engine is a little bit finicky if there happens to be a vacuum leak and the carb is touchy. But when it is tuned up good it runs great.

Around here (southwest North Dakota) they sell for around $4000 to $7500 depending on hours and overall condition. We were offered $10,000 for ours last fall and declined because we really can't replace it for that much.
