hi jal-SD i thought the same thing .. it is a distributor .. i put the number 1 piston up on to compression stroke .. so as far as i know it is timed right!!! i allso did it buy hand i took number one spark plug out and put it on top of engine and turned the engine over buy hand and it sparked i then looked to see where the rotor was the it was on number 1 plug wirer the piston was at compression stroke .. mark
