Matt, this is how mine is hooked up. The steel line runs to the pressure side of the power steering valve body (steering column). The two rubber lines are not actually hooked to the inner valve in question, but are hooked up to a check valve that is on the outer valve. Those two lines run to the fast-hitch cylinder. Later on last night I got to thinking about what you had said, and I was thinking perhaps your snap ring is the wrong size or the snap ring groove is full of debris or damaged somehow. I don't see any other way that snap ring would come out. Also in the picture you can see the line that connects the front set of valves to the rear set. It is attached to the covers outboard of the valves.
