How about an axle-mounted step (or two)? I've seen that on several older tractors. I mount my F14 (not nearly as tall, I know) from the rear, one step on the loop drawbar, one on the axle trumpet, and viola! 'course, that don't work so well with a 2-or-3 point hitch. My brother put a step on the frame of his JD-620, makes it a lot easier to get on, and also to hoist fuel cans up.
