It looks like your 100 was manufactured in 1956, as the beginning # for '56 was 12895, according to the serial number listing for 100's found at the left. Hard telling why your 100 was green originally. IH would paint its tractors any color that the owner wanted on special order. (There were lots of IH tractors that were painted yellow for city, county and state governments that were used for mowing, etc. when originally slold.) The only "demonstrator" color that I know of were the white ones that were done in 1950. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
