I'm not sure how much to torque those - I just put them "tight enough", just put them all the same tightness and make them feel tight, I dont' think torquing these down tight really matters a lot. And about gasket sealant - I HATE THE STUFF! It seems to keep things from leaking, but it is a royal pain in the you-know-where to take things apart at a later point, and to get all the old gasket and sealant scraped off..... Instead, I just use a liberal amount of lithium grease or chassis lube. It will help the gasket stick to the surface a little and help it seal, but it doesn't act like glue and so you can take things apart in the future. And it doesn't ruin the gasket when you take things apart again. I've been using grease as a sealant for several years now, and have not had one single gasket leak to date.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
