seasonal disconnnection shaft super mta

If I take the plate off were the seasonal shifter lever do i need to drain anything else i have drained the 15 gal. out of the rear end looked at the pto and replaced clutch bands adjusted them for two days moving on to the next place to look for the problem. If it is broken how do i replace the seasonal shaft
