That may not be necessarily so. Given the fact that these lettered series engines use a bypass type of oil filtration, excessive pressure would "wash out" the bearing surfaces. Small metal and rust particles act as an abrasive that cause damage to the soft insert surfaces. Rule of thumb for oil pressure in automotive applications is 10 psi for every thousand rpm. On these slow rpm engines, this equates to 15 to 18 psi oil pressure. More is not always better.
