Plateform carrier

I have found a plateform carrier frame at a farm where I was working making some old red tractors run again. There is very little wood left but the metal frame is all there. What is a carrier like this worth? I have seen a few of these around at shows, all fixed up and looking sharp. I would like to make an offer to the owner. I have a book that talks about the No 201 and 301 carrier, what is the difference? Thanks for the help.
