Your cheapest repair option is to make the front split, replace the TA pressure plate and release bearing and perhaps the TA clutch disc. If the TA operated correctly before the finger failed, TA unit replacement is not necessary, nor a double split. You probably will eventually damage the transmission by shifting without unloading the TA clutch as it is intended when adjusted properly.
