Click on the Serial Numbers item in the Research and Info list on the left side of this YT page for all the help you need.
But even then, don't get misled or confused: these old tractors didn't really have "model years" like cars, inasmuch as any particular model would have been produced for several years, and whatever changes IH made didn't necessarily correspond with the calendar.
Still, it is nice to know how old our iron is and the serial number lists -- along with casting date codes -- give us that information.
