Glenn that is why those old fellows always had money. They worked the H out of a tractor that really didn't have the power for the job. My dad bought a cub when he should have had a SA and 300 when it should have been a 400. He finally traded the Cub for a 130 and put a 150 bu manure spreader behind it. He then bought a Cockshutt 540 with Wagner Loader and put spreader on 300. Because he wanted to plow while spreading manure he plowed 60-80 acres a year with 130 and fast hitch 2 bottom plow. You know one thing, he always had money and always drove a new Chev sedan every two years. Always a six standard and he never used second gear. I guess he didn't have time for that extra shift.
