I have just purchased an International tractor loader backhoe for my father. The fellow I purchased it from says the guy he got it from claimed it was a 1953. All of the serial number plates have been sand blasted and painted over. On the right side of the engine bell housing is a plate with the number 1736 stamped on it. The transmission housing has 360553-R3 cast into it on the right side. The engine block has the number 367727-R1 cast into it. The engine is gasoline and is asperating quite a bit of oil and needs a rebuild, otherwise the machine is in pretty good condition. The trctor itself looks simular to a 300 or 400 series utility. Can anyone give me an idea as to what it is I have purchased or give me a lead who I might contact to get more information and possibly manuals.
