A - Steering Gear

The steering gear compartment(front end of steering shaft) has a grease fitting at the top but it also has three square plugs(one at top, middle, and near bottom). The square plugs would indicate fill with oil? Both grease and fill with fluid????????? Is there a maintanence manual that covers this?
