M oil Pressure

I got new gauges from my IH/Case dealer. They are great, except I have hardly any oil pressure. I hooked up a new copper line and am getting oil to the gauge, but very low pressure. Is there anything I should look at before going to the pump??? I felt the modern gauge that was already in place was broken and wanted to look origional.Rats!
