Has anybody ever seen a problem with the oil pump castings cracking just below the mounting flange (to the engine block)on Farmall H tractors. I pulled the oil pan off my H and noticed the pump was cracked, so I bought a used pump to replace it. When I cleaned the grime off the new pump I discovered it was cracked in the same exact place as the old one. The pumps are fully functional, just cracked. Common problem, or do I have two bad pumps? Could I just have the crack welded?
