her rear axle is a really dripping now

too kthe 41-A out for spin tonight. PAaked it. Oh boy, the left rear is a really dripping now out of the end of axle/wheel hub. Up and down motion (on the left side) as I drive the rig on the smooth road. Now side to side play or wobble. Is there a bearing in there that could be shot? and if there is (no parts manual for exploded view) do I need a puller to remove it? or any special tool? Thnking that maybe an axle bearing and seal is shot? What do you think? Anyone have a scanner of the left rear drop housing for the axle, gears and bearings? I could look at? amd print? Or ha simialr problem and fix? Would really appreciate your help. tom

What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
