I have a I-544 gas engin and it starts and runs fine for about 15 minutes then stalls. The only way it will restart is if I spray starting fluid into the carb. Then it will fire right up and idle. When I put it in gear it runs for about 4 feet and stalls out. Then this process needs repeated. My question is what is wronge with my Carb? Not enough gas when the engin warms up is my guess. Before I drop $300 in a new carb, what adjustments can I make to try to correct this problem. I have already had the carb appart and everthing looks fine. P.S. My floats are not sticking (I have already had someone look at that). I have a Zentith carb with a blead screw instead of a solnoid shut off. One more piece of info, the fuel pump has been removed and converted to a gravity feed. I can see why it might stall under this situation, but why does it refuse to restart?
