I would be reasonable sure it was just rain water. Just fill the coolant up, and watch to see if it empties. And if it was only a gallon and a half, there would be lots more coolant waiting to go into your oil pan, that would be currently running into it. Put the ol' girl back together, fill up the fluids, don't worry bout the carb yet, they usually work fine on those older tractors, and let 'er rip!
