Something I have used with success is a hacksaw blade. Grind it down so that it will fit inside the pipe and use it to saw down to the threads, not thru them. Do this several times around the pipe and then use a punch to collapse the pipe into itself. It is slow going but if you are careful it works well, wrap tape around the blade to give yourself something to hang on to.
