Does your 300 U have 3 hydratouch valves? If you don't have 3 valves then you could get hydraulic pressure by removing the block off plate. The pressure port is threaded. If you have three valves then the hydraulic supply should be coming from the regulator valve behind the rear valve. If they don't then they have most likely been added and not plumbed like it would have been from the factory. I really don't think you will be very happy using the tractor pump as it only puts out 10 gpm 12 to 1500 psi when new. A PTO pump or a front mounted pump would give you a lot better results.
