Wheel Keepers.

On the USA built IHC tractors we have here, we've noticed two different styles of front wheel keepers. One has a basically flat profile on the face of the keeper and the other has a small raised lug on the face. This lug runs the full width of the keeper on the end nearest the wheel rim.
Is their any difference in the manufacturing date of these two types of keepers or were they both used at the same time. Just wondering whether we should have different styles on different aged tractors. Thanks. Redfan.
