Got M now got ?'s

Yesterday I bought a '49 M with narrow front, 12V conv. and hyd. were conv. to the double action. Serial- FBK-193053X1. Motor was completely redone. It has snap!! Tight front wheels so flying down the road is possible. Now it has some rust in the tank so I was going to clean that out with some fluid and put a section of chain in and work it around and get the loose stuff out. That and in 5th gear will slip out and the shifter doesn't engage like all the others. It has a little winding grinding noise. I had a H that did the same thing but not as often or with the noise.
