I actually deal in NOS IH parts, and generally, I will not sell old seals and gaskets, unless they are no longer made or in excellent condition, and I generally forward them to the cheapest place which is usually their local Case IH dealer. As far as your $8.00 gasket, you probably stated that you needed it now, so the dealer probably ordered the part for next day arrival, which costs quite a bit more than if you place it on their stock order. I will agree that Case does have some pretty high prices on some items ($600 on a governor overhaul kit for the H or M), but for gaskets, bearings, and some other parts, I think they are reasonably priced. Do what you please, but I know that for my restoration purposes I am willing to pay the price for the right part built to the correct specifications.
