Cannot say where the crank is "supposed" to go, but I saw a couple H's and an OS-4 with cranks at a show last weekend. The cranks were dropped in between the engine block and the left side frame rail - and I think the OS-4 even had a clip to hold the crank there. On the other hand I found the crank on my Super H dropped in on the right side of the engine beneath the distributor. Appears it's been riding there for about 45 years. Unless I learn otherwise I'm planning to stick it back in the same spot when I finish my restoration.
