Sounds like a plan if you have a running tractor. But since this engine is being disassembled anyway, there must be a way to check without actually removing the cam from the block. I may just break down and break the tractor in half anyway and replace the cam bearings too while I am at it. Sure wouldn't hurt. Thanks for the info.
