farmall c just dying

please dont laugh at me but i have a farmall c that when im plowing my garden it will be running fine and then just dies . the battery is dead and i keep it going with a battery charger . after i charge it up and start it it will run good for awhile then die . does this sound like a fuel problem or would anew battery solve my problem?
