I was replacing the seal for the main drive shaft that comes off the transmission case. Got the seal housing off ok, but when I went to remove the piece from the main shaft on the transmission that connects to the engine side shaft (the one that goes into the clutch)when pulling it off the shaft it was long enough to hit the engine side shaft. Well to make a long story short I ended up removing the entire clucth assembly so as to make enough room. The engineers dropped the ball on this one. That area could have been 1 inch longer to accomadate the removal of the shaft from the transmission. If there is a trick to this I certainly could not figure it out. Now an H dosen't have this problem as it is long enough in this area.
