Casting mark on C's operator platform

As I was checking casting dates on our Farmall C I noticed a casting mark that is not on any of our other Farmalls. The date mark is 12-8-R , and is located on the transmission cover, but, to the left of this mark are the letters USRC. Can anyone tell me what these mark mean? Thanks
