Thanks for all the quick responses. I was surprised by the number of answers, and the detail everyone went into. I've printed out everything and will sift through it tonight. I'm glad I posted, lots of things I hadn't considered were addressed. The property is located in the foothills of the Capitan Mountains of central New Mexico. It is fairly heavily wooded, and the front 25 or so acres are a very gentle slope, with the back 10 being relatively steep, but with magnificent views. The main purpose in buying it is just to live on, and get out of the hassles of the city, get back to a simpler life, etc. Different caliber of people in the country, and after meeting them, I wonder why we didn't do this a decade ago. Anyhow, the property does get considerable snowfall in the winter (nothing like you folks up north, but substantial for here), so the tractor will also be used for plowing snow as well. We won't be farming any of the property. Once again, thanks for all the suggestions.....and I am quite sure I will be asking more questions in the near future. Something tells me when I finally buy the tractor, I will have more fun working on it than using it... :)

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
