I too bought one of those CHINA manifolds. It has the same problem yours does. I made it work ! I had to grind the lever on the carb down a little at a time until the rod and lever are working free. Another trick is when you bolt up the carb, pull the carb towards you (away from the engine) and tighten the bolts while doing so. This allows you to have the most possible space between the rod, lever and the block. Try it-it worked for me. I did mine last year and she runs great!!!!!
