Jim, The Ball special jar on my M's precleaner is kind of rounded with corners and its a widemouth pint jar. I've seen Mason and Kerr jars that also look as good as the Ball jars. It seems that what ever jar you put on yours, there will be someone in showland that will tell you its not correct. I just laugh and say, "Well, where's your tractor at". Like many items on these old classics, whoever made the parts acquired thier items from the cheapest bidder. Donaldson who made the jar type precleaner was no different. When they ran out of one brand they probably used whatever brand they had on hand.//FB
