Doug,a good 350 is hard to beat ,for it's size.We had one for years.Remember a 350 diesel is only an H with better hydraulics power steering and a TA.If you have hills,you may want to consider a heavier machine,getting pushed sideways on a hill with a baler and wagon has a pucker factor of about 100,just about as much fun as the low side on the TA as you start free wheeling down hill with a load.
Sounds like the injection pump needs work,or dirty fuel filters.We had the pump set up on ours and on a pull it blew black not white.When you first start up it's white if it really is cold,but that should clearup as soon as things start warming up,but not run the whole time like that.Last one I saw sold was a tricycle,it brought $1500 and did all it's tricks,that was in Pa.Sounds like an expensive paint job on a tractor that may need some work before you can go to the field.
